Welcome to the FRADU Hunters web-site!

Set up in July 1998, it was created to recognise the Hawker Hunter's Fleet Air Arm service with the Fleet Requirements and Air Direction Unit (FRADU) at RNAS Yeovilton between December 1972 and May 1995. More recently, the site has expanded to include the type's overall Fleet Air Arm pedigree, with its service with the second line Training Units being recognised.
The Hawker Hunter served with the UK's Fleet Air Arm for nearly 40 years, a fact that is often overshadowed by the type's Royal Air Force service.

All 43 Hawker Hunter airframes that saw service with the FRADU unit are featured on this site, with details of where and/or if they survive today.
A series of photographic collections are also featured. Please have a look around the site and let me know what you think by clicking the options below.
